About the Photo Collage

Combine several pictures into a single image without installing anything: add your photos, pick a grid, horizontal strip or vertical stack, and the collage assembles itself instantly. A gap slider controls the spacing between cells, the background colour fills the gutters, and every photo is automatically centre-fitted into its cell so the layout stays tidy whatever sizes you feed it.

Collages built here go straight into social posts, before-and-after comparisons, mood boards, listing photos and family updates. Add images gradually — the grid reflows each time — and when it looks right, download everything merged into one PNG. Your pictures are stitched together by your own browser on your own machine; none of them is uploaded, so private family photos stay exactly that.

Frequently asked questions

How many photos can I put in one collage?

There's no fixed limit — the grid simply grows to fit however many you add, arranging them into the squarest layout possible. Practical performance depends on your device's memory; a couple of dozen phone photos is no problem on any modern browser.

Why are some of my photos cropped in the collage?

Each picture is fitted into a uniform square cell using a centre crop, which keeps the grid clean when photos have different shapes. Landscape images lose a little from the sides and portraits from the top and bottom. Pre-crop any photo whose edges matter before adding it.

Can I control the order of the pictures?

Photos are placed in the order you add them, filling the grid left to right, top to bottom. To arrange a specific sequence, add the images one by one in that order — or clear the collage and re-add them — rather than selecting them all in a single batch.

What size is the downloaded collage?

Each cell is rendered at 320 pixels square plus your chosen gaps, so a 3×3 grid comes out around 1000×1000 pixels — sharp enough for social feeds, chats and web pages. For print-quality collages you'd want dedicated desktop software, but for sharing online this size is ideal.

Are my photos sent to a server to build the collage?

No. Every image is loaded, arranged and merged on a canvas inside your browser, and the final PNG is generated locally too. Nothing is uploaded at any point, which makes the tool safe for children's photos, medical images and anything else personal.
